| Dr. Shin's recent research focuses on the development of new concept ships such as liquefied hydrogen carriers and carbon dioxide carriers, and new propulsion ships such as the electric propulsion. In the era of carbon-neutral ship operation, when fuel costs increase and the propulsion system changes, he will launch a new concept ship for Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, contributing to leading the technology in the future ship market. Previously he led the development of high efficient energy-saving devices, optimal hull form and optimal propulsion system, and there are a number of products applied to real ships, such as ships with reduced additional resistance in waves and propeller efficiency improvement devices.
