Dr. Sangwon Kim is a senior scientist in Biosensor Group at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) Europe in Saarbrücken, Germany. He received his BS and MS degrees from Seoul National University and Ph.D. degree from Colorado State University in 2005 majoring in mechanical engineering. He has developed advanced gasoline engines at Hyundai Motor Group for five years. Since joining KIST Europe in 2010, he has been working on redox flow batteries, PEM fuel cells, and hydrogen storage systems. His research interests include transport phenomena, heat & mass transfer, and thermodynamic analysis in electrochemical energy conversion & storage systems. Since 2017, Dr. Kim has enrolled in Transfer Center Sustainable Electrochemistry at Saarland University as Deputy Head. |
