Dr. Jong-Nam Kim had his Ph.D. from KAIST in 1994 and has conducted R&D activities as a researcher at the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) since 1985. As of 2017, he has been the president of KIER. He has been a National Hydrogen Economy Committee member since July 2020 and chairman of the Council for Heads of Environmental Research Institutes as of 2017.

Dr. Sangwon Kim is a senior scientist in Biosensor Group at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) Europe in Saarbrücken, Germany. He received his BS and MS degrees from Seoul National University and Ph.D. degree from Colorado State University in 2005 majoring in mechanical engineering. He has developed advanced gasoline engines at Hyundai Motor Group for five years. Since joining KIST Europe in 2010, he has been working on redox flow batteries, PEM fuel cells, and hydrogen storage systems. His research interests include transport phenomena, heat & mass transfer, and thermodynamic analysis in electrochemical energy conversion & storage systems. Since 2017, Dr. Kim has enrolled in Transfer Center Sustainable Electrochemistry at Saarland University as Deputy Head.
