Prof. Kim received BS and MS from Korea University and doctoral degree from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA. His primary research topics are environmental and water resources, with emphases on water quality, decentralized stormwater management, sediment control, ecological engineering, low impact development(LID), Nature-based Solutions, etc. Since 2009, he is a board member of ‘IWA diffuse pollution specialist group’ and organized the 19th International Conference on Diffuse Pollution & Eutrophication on 2019 in Korea. He is performing lots of government research projects and international joint research projects with Hongkong, France, UK, and others. He published about 123 research papers on international journals and 110 papers on Korean journals.

Dr. Dong-Hoon Kim has completed a PhD at KAIST in 2008 with the topic on anaerobic digestion of organic solid wastes, and worked at Korea Institute of Energy Research until 2014 as a senior researcher. Since 2015, he started to work at Inha University as an assistant professor, majoring in the environment and energy field, specifically, organic waste treatment, greenhouse gas reduction, and resource recovery. He received a “Distinguished Young Scientist Award (presidential award) in 2015, and he is a member of Korean Young Academy of Science and Technology.
